Makenzie who?
| Sea Cliff Bridge opened on Sunday December 11, 2005. It
was widely reported in the media. 11 year old student Makenzie Russell, from St. Brigid's Primary school, Gwynneville, won the competition to name the Illawarra's new bridge. Makenzie appropriately called it "Sea Cliff Bridge" The Bridge opening allowed for the re-opening of Lawrence Hargrave Drive after two years of closure. Sea Cliff Bridge re-connects the Northern Illawarra Suburbs of Clifton and Coalcliff. It also now forms part of the Grand Pacific Drive. |
